How to organise a company convention in Barcelona: a practical guide
A company convention brings teams, distributors or partners together to align goals, present results and strengthen company culture. Barcelona and its surroundings offer hotels with meeting rooms, theatres, congress centres and unique venues for one-day or multi-day conventions. This guide explains how to design one so the message lands and the team goes home motivated.
Start with the concept
Conventions that work have a common thread. For Duscholux we built the entire distributor convention around «The power of change», with talks and workshops by speakers such as Emilio Duró. For Movistar, a Game of Thrones-inspired convention turned objectives into an epic story.
Format and agenda
Short, well-produced plenary sessions, team workshops, networking spaces and activities that reinforce the message. Avoid marathon days: attention drops and the message gets diluted. A good rhythm combines content, well-designed breaks and experiential moments.
Where to hold it
Hotels with meeting rooms and accommodation, such as Hotel Arts or Hotel W, simplify multi-day conventions. Theatres such as Teatre Victòria bring a stage and emotion. Centres such as the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya or the World Trade Center offer auditoriums and rooms. Outside the city, rural hotels such as Hotel Mas Solà or destinations such as Sitges combine work and switching off.
Activities and team building
A well-chosen team activity reinforces the convention's message: immersive challenges, food experiences, outdoor activities or charity dynamics. At Edenred's sessions in Sitges we combined meetings, team building, the beach and a corporate dinner.
Production, speakers and AV
Set design, AV, directing and, if needed, streaming for those who cannot attend. We help you bring in speakers and moderators and rehearse so everything flows.
The final night
A gala dinner or themed party ends the convention on a high. It is the moment to celebrate, recognise achievements and create a shared memory.
